Highlight Of The Month
PLASTIC IS OMNIPRESENT IN OUR LIVES
Plastic is present in many things that we take for granted today and has made modern life possible. Because it is lightweight, durable, transparent and water-resistant, plastic is used in our clothes, lenses, cling film that preserves food, property insulation, in the prostheses used by the disabled and much more.
Cutting out plastic from our lives is not a realistic solution against plastic pollution. Nonetheless, if we have the infrastructures to recycle our plastic waste, then it is our responsibility to discard it properly.

DGRADE
Emeraude made a strategic long-term investment in DGrade, a UAE based company that manages the full cycle from collecting and recycling plastic bottles to manufacturing sustainable clothing and plastic flakes for consumer packaging.
Since 2010 DGrade has been a pioneer in recycled fabrics by producing sustainable Greenspun yarn from recycled plastic bottles. To further support DGrade’s mission to provide sustainable solutions, Emeraude will begin supplying customers with recycled polyethylene terephthalate (rPET) flakes for consumer packaging to support a closed loop system by Q4 2021.
